going on a road trip has always seemed like an exciting possibility. i’ve always had the feeling that it’s a coming-of-age journey, or some other sort of life defining experience. i’d love to drive with the windows down, blasting music.
i’ve got this idea in my head about how the only music we’d play in the car is music that we got from people in the places we stopped and talked to. either they’d burn us mixed cds of music they love, or they’d give us an old cd of theirs, but we wouldn’t listen to anything else. we wouldn’t even bring an ipod. and wouldn’t it be amazing if we weren’t allowed to leave a place we visited or stopped unless we received music from that place? we could even swap with other people on the road if we stopped at a gas station. what a fun adventure.
